Steve is an advisor to Residual with a background in atmospheric physics and climate policy. He is Arnell Associate Professor of Greenhouse Gas Removal at the University of Oxford and Executive Director of Oxford Net Zero and CO2RE, two programmes focused on stabilising the climate through scalable mitigation and removal approaches. Steve previously held senior science roles at the UK Committee on Climate Change and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, where he contributed to the development of the UK’s net zero target. He holds a PhD from Imperial College London and is a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society.
